VIC GRANT ALERT | Our Town Fund

The Victorian Government enters caretaker mode from 6pm on 3 November 2026, before the 28 November state election. The incoming government will decide whether this round proceeds, so plan for that risk.

• Total Funding: $6,500,000 (GST exclusive)

• Individual Funding: Up to $50,000 for non-council applicants, up to $200,000 for council applicants (GST exclusive)

• Funding body: Victorian Government, through Regional Development Victoria (RDV)

• Eligible: Incorporated associations, not-for-profit companies, Aboriginal corporations, co-operatives, councils; Victorian presence required

• Closes: 4pm, Tuesday 2 February 2027

• Key requirement: Project town population up to 12,000, in regional Victoria or alpine resorts

• Co-contribution: 20% of total budget for non-council applicants; half can be in-kind

Crown land committees of management, incorporated community groups and Aboriginal corporations upgrading small-town halls, trails or public spaces should look closely. A $50,000 Town Funding Cap applies across non-council applications from the same town, and RDV encourages groups to combine, including with council. Before drafting, check who else locally is applying.
